Make Their Day. Change Their Life. 🐾 |
One dog. One kind act. One day that feels a little brighter.
October 22 is National Make a Dog’s Day, and here in North County we’re celebrating the dogs curled up beside us—and the ones still waiting for a home. You don’t need to adopt a dog to help one. A shared adoption profile, a volunteer hour, or a little extra patience can matter.
Welcome to this special Homeward Dogs edition. Let’s make their day count. |

The One Dog Challenge
Choose one meaningful action for one dog today: share an official adoption profile, ask a local rescue about fostering or volunteering, donate something on its current wish list, or give your own dog an unhurried sniff walk. Small acts are worth doing well.

Not every celebration needs a new toy or a crowded outing. Let your dog choose the pace on a sniff walk, enjoy a short favorite game, or settle into a quiet afternoon beside you. Pay attention to what your dog enjoys: some love adventure, others prefer the familiar comforts of home.
And if you can, extend that kindness to a dog still waiting. One share, one useful donation or one hour of volunteering could be your One Dog Challenge. |
